Words - Issue #5

Welcome to Issue 5 of Words! Today we’re going to talk about what does improving your writing actually mean.

Let's talk about improving your writing
When you say you want to become a better writer, what do you mean?
Writing is a collection of skills that we use when we create blog posts and stories. Therefore, it’s by far more productive to assess your current skill level and choose where to improve next.
Contrary to what other writers say, if you don’t know what you’re improving, writing more will not necessarily advance your writing skill.
For example: Decide that you eradicate all passive voice use from your next pieces during the next month. Or, decide that you will go over and fix all grammar mistakes you may have.
Internalize those small goals and then move on. That is how we grow our skills.

"O Rose thou art sick,
The invisible worm,
That flies in the night
in the howling storm,
Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy."
